Our story
A Family Farm, a Herd of Gentle Giants, and an Open Gate
We started our small hobby farm of lovable cattle in 2023. What started with 2 cows and a love for cows and farming has grown into so much more. Cow cuddling was not in our plans for our farm, it just sort of happened when we got invited to a local area to show off our loveable cows and never looked back.
How it started
My husband, Lucas, and I have always shared a love for animals. He had a dairy farm growing up and I would rescue any animal I could. In 2020 we moved out to the Hixton area with family and talked about getting cattle. In 2023 we drove 2 hours one way to pick up our first cow, Juicy. Juicy is a Angus/White Park cross breed who is gentle and a extremely lovable cow.
What started with Juicy has now grown into 10 plus a few (when we have calves around) farm. Most of our cows are docile, we have 1 or 2 that are a little skittish and shy away from people. The ones that are docile love people, pets, treats, and are the sweetest cows.
In 2026 a local business owner saw a post of a calf we had and asked if we go out to places for people to pet them. We went and had a blast meeting people, having our cows/calves hang out with kids and people of all ages, and the whole experience. Our hope is to spread our joy about our cows and farm to others, especially those who may have never seen a cow or do not know much about farming.
The farm
We raise a small, mixed herd — 10 plus a few here and there — and we keep it that way on purpose. Small means personal. Small means every animal gets attention, every visitor gets real time, and nothing feels rushed.
We grow our own hay, rotate our pastures, and farm the land and cattle with love and compassion.
Why we do it
We do it because we love to, plain and simple. We love to farm, we love our animals, we love teaching others about farming and cattle, and we want to make someone's day with our cows that no person can do.
Come see for yourself
The best way to understand what we do here is to come do it. Book a session and we'll take care of the rest.
